Founder and CEO
Nicholas is a go-to man on addiction related matters for National press, TV and Radio. He has consulted for many private addiction rehabs throughout the years and setup Help4Addiction which is one of the largest addiction advisory services in the UK.
Nicholas’s vast experience within residential rehabs has allowed him to reach out to his network to handpick some of the biggest and most influential names to treat his clients at Verve Health.
Nicholas has suffered with addiction personally and managed to get clean in Jan 2008. His mission is to provide the highest-level treatment in beautiful surroundings at affordable prices.
Dr Edwin Ugoh
He has worked as a senior doctor across both the private and public sector and provides clinical leadership for substance misuse teams in West and South Essex.
Dr Ugoh offers a recovery-focused approach. He strongly believes in a collaborative approach to his treatments, ensuring his patients are fully involved in their treatment plans and recovery.
Dr Michelle Zandvoort, CPsychol.,PsychD., Msc., Bsc.Hons
Michelle also has a Masters degree (MSc) in Counselling Psychology from London Metropolitan University an Honours degree (Bsc.Hons) in Psychology from the University of Kent as well as a Practitioner Doctorate (PsychD.) in Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Psychology from London Metropolitan University.
Michelle is also an exceptionally experienced supervisor and has completed her BPS approved training in clinical supervision.
Michelle specialises in treating addiction, trauma, eating disorders along with other mental health related issues. Michelle also wrote the dual-diagnosis treatment programme for The Priory.
Paul Vogler - Forensic Psychiatric Nurse Prescriber

My name is Paul Vogler and I am an Nurse (Independent) Prescriber from Serenity Health working in partnership with our colleagues at VERVE. Having qualified as a psychiatric nurse from Middlesex University in 1995, I have had a very varied career, in the following areas: Forensics, Prisons, Accident and emergency liaison , Old age psychiatry, Eating disorders, Child and adolescent mental health,Crisis teams, Drug and alcohol.
In 2017 I returned to university to study for a certificate in Independent Prescribing, after which I spent two years working as an Interdependent Nurse Prescriber in two large male prisons under an eminent consultant in the field: Professor Adam Winstock. I was responsible for assessing, diagnosing and prescribing for patients with a whole host of dependencies, including: Alcohol, opioids, gabapentinoids, stimulants (cocaine/crack cocaine) , Disassociate anesthetics (Ketamine/GHB/GBL), Benzodiazepines.
My focus is always on the patient: Paying close attention to their needs and goals. Treatment plans, to be effective, must be collaborative so my emphasis is working together.
Sammy is a huge advocate of 12 step recovery and has experience of utilising this process in his own day to day life for well over twenty years.
Jakana is a highly experienced Counsellor and an expert in addictions and has been working in this area for a number of years. She is in recovery herself so has lived experience of overcoming addiction. She has a background in psychodynamic theory and has been working with CBT and DBT approaches also. Her interests are trauma work.
Danielle has had over 20 years’ experience in hospitality. She currently manages housekeeping, kitchen staff and front of house. She aims to offer clients the best service whilst they stay with us, going above and beyond to suit each individual’s needs and providing a home from home experience and embracing the family feeling.
